Everyone can learn film making techniques and reveal hidden talent
Entitled ‘Callosa en cine’ (Callosa on film), the Callosa de Segura Town Hall Departments for Culture and Youth have organised their first short film contest, in order to show off the audiovisual creations of young talents to the public who attend the screenings. Visitors to the festival can come and watch, appreciate and give their opinions.
There is no set theme and anyone can participate, either as an individual or a group. Whether they are a fan or a professional, they can also present more than one entry. However, those that are likely to promote and show off locations in Callosa will receive special consideration.
The films must be no more than 20 minutes long and can be fiction, documentary, animation, experimental, music videos or socially themed. It does not matter if they have already been shown at another event or festival.
The deadline for entries is April 4th and the showing of those selected will be on May 3rd and 4th.
The winners will receive an award and a prize in the following categories: a trophy and 300 euros for first and 200 euros for second for the best films chosen by the jury and the public; 100 euros and a trophy for the best social message; and 100 euros and a trophy for the best promotion of the municipality of Callosa. Also all those selected will receive a diploma for their participation in the festival.
