Reunite International charity football tournament kicks off on Saturday

Watch the matches at the Orihuela Costa CDM then join the family fun at The Fire Station bar This Saturday (7th May), we have the first group stages of our Reunite International Shield 8-a-side football tournament which is being held at the Municipal Sports Centre (CDM) in Playa Flamenca, Orihuela Costa. Everyone is invited to come down and enjoy the matches between teams that have been set up by local businesses. There will be four games this Saturday, two at 5pm and two at 6pm. The tournament shall run each weekend in May with the Semi Finals and Finals being played on Saturday, May 28th. Afterwards, join them for be an evening of entertainment at The Fire Station Bar in Via Park I, La Zenia, including a raffle of prizes donated by local businesses and music from the talented young singer Janelle. It should be a fun day out for all the family. Queens and Concerts in Rojales and Quesada this weekend

Classical music, a fiesta gala and a saxophone quartet This weekend’s events in Rojales and Ciudad Quesada include concerts and and this year’s Fiesta Queens Gala. First up, at 7pm on Saturday, May 7th at 7pm is a violin and piano concert at the Cultural Centre in Ciudad Quesada on Calle del Pino. Entry is free and the audience will be treated to performances of pieces by Mendelssohn and Massenet played by Stassnislav Tkach (violin) and Youlia Tichtchenko (piano). At 9pm that same night, the Capitol Theatre in Rojales will celebrate the 2016 Rojales Fiesta Queens Gala, at which tribute will be paid to last year’s queens and dames and those who have been chosen to represent the town this year will be announced. Entry is free and tickets can be collected from the Information and Tourism Office in the Town Hall. Then on Sunday morning, back at the Cultural Centre in Ciudad Quesada at 11:30am, there will be a saxophone quartet concert by Ars Musicandum and Sax in Actus. Clarinets in concert in Guardamar on Saturday

Players from Guardamar and Dolores to play Mozart, Miller, Scott Joplin and more The Auditorium of the Guardamar Music School will host a free concert on Saturday, May 7th at 8pm called ‘Clarinetu2’. Performing will be clarinetists from the Agrupación Musical de Guardamar and the Unión Musical de Dolores.
