4 arrests in 24 hours including British teenager for attacking his mum
Orihuela Costa Local Police Night Patrol Unit informed they arrested four people between March 31st and April 1st. The first was a 17 year old British boy for domestic violence having insulted, threatened to kill and attacked his mother and two younger siblings, aged 6 and 8. The aggressor had been responsible for similar episodes in the past and at the moment of his arrest he was carrying a knife.
Also for gender violence and assault, a Belgian man aged 48 was arrested after coming here from his country, where he had a restraining order not to approach the victim, who is his ex girlfriend and was in Orihuela Costa on holiday. when he caught up with her he insulted and threatened to kill her, and also attacked a male friend of the victim who tried to interceded in the situation and ended up requiring medical treatment.
The third arrest was a French man aged 49 who was implicated in a case of theft and identity theft, and who was the subject of a court order to detain and imprison him.
The last suspect was a British man aged 23 who attacked another man with a bottle to the head, causing injuries that bled profusely and required the victim to be taken to Torrevieja Hospital.
These arrests are in addition to a large number of interventions that the Local Police had to attend to in Orihuela Costa during Easter week, when the population grows considerably with holidaymakers.
