Participants will tour the countryside on antique bikes and in period costume on April 22nd
After the success of last year’s event, Redován Town Hall and La Carbonilla Classic Vehicle Association have organised a second edition of the Villa de Redován Classic Bicycle Encounter.
It will set off from the Plaza Miguel Hernández at 9:30am on April 22nd, and registration is available from 8:30am.
Mayor Emilio Fernández said the participants will cycle along country lanes through the Orihuela villages of La Campaneta and Molins and back to Redován. They will visit the Molins riverside grove for lunch and be able to taste local delicacies.
Also involved are the association Las Galgas from Yecla, the Agrupación Huertana del Bajo Segura from Almoradí and Los Cuadrillicos from Santomera, “so we think it will be really successful and can also show people from other places our town and its surroundings”.
La Carbonilla president Miguel Terol said participants have to wear period costume and encouraged antique bicycle owners to get them ready and enjoy a very pleasant morning in the countryside.
